| Meer info | In three volumes, palaeontologist Gerhard Heilmann tells the story of Denmark’s many bird species. Accompanied by 92 stunning full-page b&w/colour plates and hundreds of exquisite b&w drawings by Heilmann himself, maps and numerous b/w photographs. Danish text. The books provide an interesting perspective on the development (or decline) of Danish nature during the early twentieth century. As bird habitats have disappeared, many of the species described by Gerhard Heilmann have since been driven out of the country. Band 1: Introduction, Divers, Storm Petrels, Storks, Storks, Duck Birds, Birds of Prey. Band II: Fowl birds, Cranes, Passerines, Cuckoo birds, Screamers. Band III: Sparrowbirds, Passeriformes, Index.
