PREFACE
This pamphlet is the record of impressions jotted down day by day during the cruise. It is written chiefly for the use of the individual in search of health, change, and sunshine. Most of the photographs were taken with a quick-focussing Kodak, but a few weren kindly lent by Mr. JACOB, a fellow-tourist. The diagrams were drawn by Mr. E. R. NIXEY, and the medal of Portobello was given by a friend, Mr. F. H. OATES.
