Riley was born in Greenfield, Indiana and is known as the 'Hoosier Poet.' This title was originally published in 1883 with eight additional printings, the last listed as 1901. The front board carries an illustration of a man in a cornfield. Seventeen other titles by author listed inside book. Frontis illustration by Wawter guarded with tissue protector.
