Schumitz published several obscure esoteric books and poems such as Nur Jehan das Licht der Welt (1974), Lieben und Denken (1920) and Pyramidensturz (1920). Zeugnisse des Menschseins has no date and was stencillled, published and bound by the author. Red soft cover with no indication on it. 35 pages. Extremely rare not in any library. Dedication to T. Goedewaagen inscribed on title page further in a good condition. Tobie Goedewaagen (1895-1980) was a Dutch philosopher who supprotd the Nazi ideology from early on and actively worked for the German side during the 2nd world war. He was head of the NSB press office, secretary general of the Ministery of Information and the Arts (1940-1943), private lecturer at the University of Utrecht (1925-1943) and professor of philosophy and psychology at the same university. (1943-1945). He played an important role in the 'nazification' of the Dutch press, radio and art world. He was convicted after the war for treason. After his early release from prison he worked as a private teacher. |
